What a great loss to the University of Nigeria and dpt of Political Science as they mourn the death of a lucturer.
Mr Anunkanka mpi as he was publicly called before he died was a vibrant lecturer who brought joy to the faces of many students, many testimonies described him as a great man, a gallant fighter, mentor, helper, guardian and so on.
Before his death, some good students took it upon their shoulder to contribute fund.
popularly
known and called Anunkanka mpi is said to reawakened the practice of Igbo
culture and tradition in the prestigious University of Nigeria through the
Ohaneze ndi Igbo students wing, regarded as the father of Ohaneze UNN,
Anunkanka mpi crowned the Igwe Ohaneze 1 of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka
in 2013.
Dr. Okoye will be missed by many including his family, friends, students, lecturers, the entire University community of Nsukka, the ministry of education and indeed the Federal Republic of Nigeria of which many have shared their condolence messages describing the vibrant lecturer as a good man who didn’t deserve to die
While he was still among the living, he has contributed so much to the social, academic, psychological lives of many students, some of which are evident in his numerous publications
Yesterday 5th June 2020 was considered a black Friday for some students and staff of University of Nigeria, Nsukka’s as one of the most vibrant lecturer was lost; Dr. Okoye Darlington Franklyn Nonso.
We pray is soul rest in perfect peace and, moreso we gathered that he died of heart failure.
